Amsterdam, March 17, 2017 – Following the continuous growth of Blanco services to wealth and asset managers, and in anticipation of the company’s future expansion of activities, the Blanco team has been reinforced with Patrick Lageweg per the first of April.
Patrick Lageweg (47) started his career as a stock broker on the trading floors of the Amsterdam and Frankfurt exchanges after he got his business degree. Subsequently he worked for multiple asset and wealth managers such as Kempen & Co and F. van Lanschot Bankiers (one of the largest Dutch Private Banks) for the next 10 years. Inspired by his great interest in the legal aspect of financial services, he subsequently chose to get his master in financial law that he combined with his position as secretary for the Dutch Securities Institute (DSI) and the Financial Services Complaints Tribunal (KiFiD). After he got his degree he worked as a financial law attorney for Westvijzel advocatenpraktijk for the next years. Nowadays he uses those skills in his work as an independent compliance consultant for a large number of companies. The cooperation between Blanco and Patrick will start on April 1. In addition, Patrick will continue to service his own clients.
Blanco is a team of experts that operate on the interface of legal/compliance/banking/e‑brokerage and technology which enables them to offer services and products like a client onboarding module that reduces the client onboarding process from hours – even days – to a maximum of 60 minutes. Patrick is a seasoned trader and wealth/asset manager but also holds extensive knowledge and experience in the area of financial-law. This unique mix is an addition to the Blanco team that will immediately contribute to even better services to our clients.
